Dear
OMTA member,
Thank you for being a part of the Orleans Marina Tenants Association and for
showing your support for the local boating community. As hurricane Gustav
takes aim at the gulf coast we would like to ask you for your help in not only
properly securing your boat but also checking on your neighbors boat to be sure
he has done his due diligence in preparing for this threat. If you know
him and have noticed a deficiency please contact him and point it out. If
you are unable to do so, please let the OMTA know so that a board member or
pier captain can attempt to contact him and or remedy the situation. Obviously
our boats are only as safe as our neighbors, so please help us help each other
survive hurricane Gustav without any damage what so ever.
To remind you of the Orleans Marina’s official hurricane requirements we are attaching a letter from Harbormaster, Chuck Dixon, dated May 26, 2008.
Please visit the OMTA website www.omta.us for the most up-to-date information.
Thank you.
