A general homeowners meeting was held Nov. 5 with over 50% representation of the owners.  The board along with Ms. Debbie Popoff with Wagner & Truax were present to answer prepared questions as well as questions from the attendees. 

 

The consensus of the voting majority of homeowners was to formulate a construction committee to help the board with the details of reconstruction, especially with the interior issues of individual units thereby freeing up the board to better handle the common areas.

 

Also discussed were how to distribute insurance proceeds as it applies to reconstruction of badly damaged or totaled individual units.  (see insurers damage report)  No answer was readily available, but it became obvious owners are not going to downgrade to apartment standards.   Therefore a schedule of proceeds needs to be formulated that each owner can add to in order to bring refitting up to his or her own individual standards.

 

Many questions were left unanswered and many new questions surfaced.  This will be an extensive “work in progress” and updates will be posted as available.
